Prayer
“Prayer is the primary work of God’s people.”
A. B. Simpson, founder of the Christian & Missionary Alliance
At First Alliance Church, we embrace this truth. Prayer is one of our core priorities and one of the 7 Marks of a disciple of Jesus Christ. Nothing of lasting value that matters will happen unless prayer is at the center of it. Prayer is a Jesus follower’s conversation with God where we praise, repent, ask (express concerns), listen for and yield to His guidance, and end up aligned with His will. It is also the first (but not only) way we can support one another.
When You Need Prayer...
There are times when we all need someone to pray for us. We're here for you. You can submit a prayer request via the link below. In addition, after every Sunday Worship Service there are friendly folks available in the Prayer Room for prayer and counsel for whatever is going on in your life. Or give us a call. Or stop by.
Pray with Others
There are multiple ways you can connect with others in prayer. Not only is prayer a normal part of worship opportunities (for all ages), Discipling Communities, and Ministry Teams, but there are some specific times you can gather with others for intentional prayer. Currently, they include:
Missions-focused Prayer Community
Wednesdays @ 6:30pm
Men’s Prayer Gathering
Saturdays @ 8am
These generally happen every week, but be sure to check the FACT Calendar to confirm.
Pray for Others
We encourage every disciple to make prayer a normal part of your daily life. You can discover specific prayer requests by talking with friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
You can also elect to received prayer requests throughout the week as they come in via email or text. Click the button below to let us know how you would like to receive requests. Of course, please know that choosing to receive requests means that you are making a commitment to pray faithfully for these requests.
Monthly Prayer Focus
Each month, we engage in a prayer focus that is determined by our team of Elders & Pastors (the spiritual leaders of the church). Prayer is one of the 7 Marks of a Healthy Disciple. This Monthly Prayer Focus is designed to draw the entire church to pray in unity in corporate gatherings, Discipling Communities, and as individuals about an area that we see as needing specific prayer.
Our desire is to see God move in significant ways in an area as a result of faithful prayer together.
