FACT Family News

October is Pastor Appreciation Month. Please bless our pastors with cards and notes. You can place the cards in the basket in the foyer from now until October 25. If you have questions, please contact Jarvis Crosby.

Men, join us for breakfast. It is a sweet time of food and fellowship followed by prayer. Saturday, October 10, 2026, at 8:00 am in the Family Life Center.

A new Bible Study is starting on Thursday, October 15 at 10:00 am in the Library. This fall  we will be studying 1 & 2 Peter, led by Doug Rockwell. Everyone is invited. 

Alliance Women will be meeting on Saturday morning at 10:00 am in the Fellowship Hall. Come and hear about what is happening in Alex Klinic's ministry. All ladies of the church are invited to this time of praying for our IW's

Friends will be meeting Friday, October 23 at noon in the Fellowship Hall. Friends is open to all women of the church. Come enjoy food, fellowship, and seeking the Lord! 

The Pumpkin Patch opens today! We need people to help sell pumpkins. If you could volunteer some time, please click HERE to sign up and schedule a time. All proceeds help support ministries to our youth and kids. 

If you haven't noticed, Coffee & Connect is packed every Sunday and we need help. We need several volunteers each Sunday to bring treats. If you can bake and provide at least one treat one month each Sunday, it would help us so much. We need things like muffins, donuts, pastries, and cookies. You don't even need to bake them yourself. Just pick up a treat at the grocery store. Drop off your treat at the Fellowship Hall. If you have questions or want to volunteer, please contact Karen Conkle at (706) 297-8746. 

Provide Candy for Trunk or Treat - It's time to buy candy for our Trunk or Treat ministry, being held on October 31. We need lots of candy! Last year over a 1000 people came to the event. If you can help provide candy for this ministry, please drop off your candy at the church office.  There is a box in hall where you can drop off your candy. 

Only three weeks until our fall Trunk or Treat, Saturday, October 31, from 5:00-8:00 pm on the ballfield. This is an event to reach our community. We still need lots of volunteers. We need help setting up, decorating, putting up signs. We need people to donate candy and decorate their trunks. We need people to manage traffic flow and help in the various activities going on that night. And we need help tearing it all down after the event is over. There is a place for you!

• Donate candy for the Trunk or Treat. There will be a box outside of the office where you can leave the candy.

• Decorate your Trunk and meet the kids of Toccoa.

• Help decorate the campus.

• Help direct traffic.

• Help with hayride, and other activities

• Help with clean-up at the end of the event.

• Sunday, November 8, Candidate meets with Young Adults Class, 9:00 am, FLC ... Steve Petersheim's Discipling Class

• Sunday, November 8, Morning Worship Service, 10:30 am, Sanctuary ... the Candidate will preach on 1 Timothy

• Sunday, November 8, Candidate Testimony with Q & A, 6:00 pm, Sanctuary ... the Candidate and his wife will share their testimonies followed by a Q & A

Per our church Bylaws, we are having our annual congregational meeting to receive our 2025-2026 annual reports. This will be held on Sunday, November 8th, after the morning worship service in the Sanctuary. All members are urged to attend. Others are welcome to sit in as we focus together on the goodness and provision of God in both good and difficult times.

MONTHLY PRAYER FOCUS – Living in Personal Obedience

• Pray that we would love the Lord our God with all of who we are and love not just in words but in how we live as the people of God.

• Pray that we exercise the will to obey what we already know to be true and good - the commands of the Father - and live in the way of Christ.

• Pray we would daily choose complete trust in and surrender to Jesus Christ.

• Pray that we would seek Jesus with new eyes and allow the Holy Spirit to reveal to each of us areas in which we need to repent.

• Pray that Jesus would be manifest through us to one another, our local community, especially those we know who don’t yet follow Christ.

• Pray that we would, in and through our obedience, know the fullness and depth of life in Christ empowered by the Holy Spirit.
